我突然发现，人的想象尽管常常是斑斓、炫目的，但现实偶尔也会给我们更大的惊喜！
我要说的乐队是Cold play，不知道为什么要把他们翻译成“酷玩”，这个中译名给我一个很不好的意象和引导，让我一直排斥他们，觉得他们的音乐是那种很吵的，很冷硬的东西.
直到我听到他们的Speed Of Sound .

2005年度的“MTV欧洲音乐大奖”在欧洲时间十一月三日晚上于葡萄牙首都里斯本盛大举行，音乐组合 Coldplay 被选为“最佳英国与爱尔兰艺人”，并凭着歌曲《Speed Of Sound》夺得“最佳歌曲”，与同样夺得两项大奖的 Green Day 成为大赢家。显示了 Coldplay 已经达到了超级团体的水准.

   

主唱Cris的嗓音飘忽而清澈，在喧闹的背景之中有种特殊的凛冽，既无过分的狂躁也没有拒人于千里之外的架势，他的声音的确和郑均有几分相像，但是比他要稍硬一些，少了一点妖娆的感觉，真假声的替换让我想起王菲，空灵而且迷幻。

　　每次对着屏幕打东西的时候我都喜欢让Cold play的声音在小屋子里慢慢流淌，非常的温暖，也非常的明亮，很像是阳光下一望无际的绿色的草地，涌动着柔软而新鲜的气息。

2005年底英国著名音乐杂志“Q”的年终评选结果揭晓，酷玩乐队(Coldplay)的第三张专辑《X&Y》和绿洲乐队(Oasis)的单曲《The Importance of Being Idle》分别获得2005年度最佳专辑和最佳单曲。
Coldplay获奖的专辑《X&Y》共在28个国家的排行榜中获得头名。同时，今年6月发行的《X&Y》还成为英国唱片史上销售第二快的专辑。

自从2002年的那张A Rush of Blood To The Head以来，Coldplay的音乐生涯便是平步青云、一路直上。这有些滑稽，但这支英国团体的专辑全球销量一路飙升并超过了1000万张，这个里程碑似的成绩将他们送到了像U2或是Dave Mathews Band这样超级团体的高度。

　　有趣的是，备受瞩目的这支英国四人乐团的第三张专辑X&Y，听起来就像是一张关于如何在战场上站稳脚跟的唱片。强而有力的开场曲"Square One"中，Chris主张人和人尽管存在地位的差异，但他们从根本上是一样的，因为"你所希望的，只是自己说的话能够让人听到"；在"Fix You"中，他又仿佛是在同缺憾和错失的运气做着斗争："当你爱上一个人，随后你的爱情却走向浪费与挥霍，还有比这个更糟糕的事情吗"。同时，专辑中的首支单曲，鲜明活泼的"Speed of Sound"却是关于面对着狗仔队闪光灯泡时如何保持情绪和内心的一致。

　　从音乐性的角度讲，这张唱片中的Coldplay向人们展示了自己以前从未有过的进取精神，从"Talk"中Kraftwerk似的电子节拍，到"Swallowed In The Sea"中深受Pogues影响的曲风，整张专辑涉猎了丰富的音乐元素，它把那些将自己比作是轻型Radiohead的言论放在一边，并向人们传递出一种厚重迷人、简约却又壮观的Coldplay之声。

Coldplay带给我完全不同的体验，用音乐蔓延开一片温情而明媚的世界，让人沉溺其中，就像姚谦说的“每年都有无数新团诞生，但总要等上好几年才有一个够好的团，让我们爱上好几年，我确定是Cold play”。
