来自奥克拉荷马市的摇滚新锐Hinder/缓冲乐队，由主唱Austin Winkler、 吉他手Joe “Blower” Garvey、吉他手Mark King、贝斯手Mike Rodden和鼓手Cody Hanson五位充满报复的年轻人组成。他们企图带领乐迷体验昔日即使堕落颓废，摇滚、性与药物仍代表着单纯而不龌龊的生活插曲的旧时光。「我们希望成为让观众再一次强烈热爱上摇滚的关键乐团！」鼓手Cody如此表示。

五年前，当吉他手Joe Garvey、鼓手Cody Hanson在大大学宿舍的派对上听见主唱Austin Winkler的演唱，马上就被震慑吸引住了。「他有着迷人的魅力和独特的嗓音！」于是，志同道合的五位团员确定了Hinder的组团计划；他们不愿成为另一支缺乏特色的乐团、终日唱着忧伤沮丧的歌曲，Hinder希望能够用自己的作品重现80年代的摇滚精神！主唱Austin Winkler用他苍凉沙哑而充满力量的声音，为Hinder的歌曲注入了血肉与人性，确实让人联想到摇滚名团Aerosmith、Rolling Stones和Bad Company。而全美三大主流唱片厂牌在听过Hinder的歌曲后争相网罗的举动，更证明了Hinder不容忽视的实力。
